Disney has given the gift of entertainment and joy to several generations running. Out of the many generations, there have been several Disney movies that have made a huge impact on how society views cartoons or even movies deemed as “kids movies.” Such movies are highly recommended in viewing, as they teach morals and ethics in life, as well as entertain like few other movies do.
The majority of Disney moguls will attest that The Lion King is quite a triumphant movie. The Lion King made a large impact when it debuted in 1994. It was a leading edge cartoon that took the artistic talent of cartoonists to a new level, not to mention the storyline was rivaled by none. Set in the animal kingdom, it taught of many morals and subjects- such a death or even hierarchy in not only the animal kingdom, but actual life.
Going back further into history, another epic cartoon was created by the name of The Fox And The Hound. This movie was the first real “tear jerker” that inspired many to rethink how a cartoon could make them feel. The setting of the movie showed a loving relationship between a fox and a hound, whereas they grew up and took separate roles. In their separate roles, tragedy and grief strikes as time goes on. The storyline of this one is even on par with The Lion King.
Finding Nemo may not have been a nostalgic classic, but it wins merit with the fact that it has such a fun and entertaining storyline. Also the fact that the entire movie was made in a very stunning 3D world gives quite a bit of Credit »”>credit to the makers of the film. Like most Disney movies, Finding Nemo had a cult following of younger audiences- and still does to date.
Not every movie from Disney was targeted towards kids. The movie Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl was famed for its intriguing plot and atmosphere. Although many will say it was worth watching just for leading actor Johnny Depp, the storyline was indeed intriguing enough to keep one on the edge of his or her chair. It was so popular, in fact, that it spawned a sequel in coming years.
In closing, the proper Disney fan should take a long look at Cars. This Disney movie may not have the nostalgic value others do as it is newer, but it carries the cute and witty charm that similar Disney favorites have- such as Finding Nemo. Cars in particular had a cult following of kids and teens all across the nation, although it’s hard to find a Disney movie that hasn’t at some point in time.
Final Thoughts
Disney movies continue to better the ones before them, with few exceptions. There are too many Disney movies to discuss in a single sitting, especially when considering some olden classics such as Fantasia or Tron. If at all possible, make a visit to your local video store and pick up a few of the mentioned topics- it’s well worth the rental price in gold.
