There have been many remedies advocated as gout cures. There are medicinal cures and natural cures. The natural cures are remedies that have come from people trying out different things in search of relief and have finally settled on a number of things that provide that relief.

One kind of natural gout cure is wild cherries. People who live in the West have an amble supply of cherries. Others simply drink cherry juice.

But in some part of the world cherries are a rare choice. The people living in those areas, who don’t want to pay huge medical expenses they can’t afford, try other gout cures. One of those remedies is charcoal.

Charcoal reduces the effects of gout drastically and is even said to eliminate it completely. Some people eat charcoal mixed with water or take a charcoal bath. To prepare the bath, mix charcoal powder in a tub of warm water, then sit inside for an hour soaking the painful joint.

One of the best ways of treating and preventing gout is eating right and exercising. Slow blood circulation can actually accelerate gout, so you should develop an active lifestyle.

Consuming lost of water is another gout cure you should try. Water helps your body eliminate the uric acid that builds up and forms crystals in your joints, causing the infamous pain associated with gout. So drink plenty of water every day to wash the toxins out of your bloodstream.

You can also take some over-the-counter medicines as gout cures, like Febuxostat which has been approved recently by the FDA. In case you experience an acute attack, you can also take cortisone.

Balance any protein-rich eating habits with fruits, greens, and lots of fluids; otherwise, you’ll only be helping yourself receive an increased risk for gout. Limit the red and animal organ meats and eat foods higher in fiber, fruits, veggies, and turkey and chicken instead. A diet high in red meat but low in vegetables is a recipe for gout disaster.
